Wedding Insurance Advice

Nicola, 21 January, 2021 at 10:51 Posted on Planning 0 1
Hello all,

I'm new to the site, recently engaged and require some advice on hopefully booking a 2022 wedding.
My partner and I are looking to book our venue for 2022 of which a deposit is required to be paid to secure the date with balance due nearer the time. We have looked online but are unable to find anyone willing to write new wedding Insurance policies due to the pandemic. We checked with the venues about paying on credit card to provide some cover but nearly all of our top options said they accept bank transfer or debit card only.
Has anyone else faced this issue and if so how did you resolve it?
Really don't want to risk booking without some form of cover should the worst happen but also wish to secure a date while available.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

I would ask your venue if they have amended there terms and conditions. We are getting married July 2022 and booked our venue last week. And there's a new amendment to there contract that states we can change the date as many times as needed due to covid. It maybe worth asking if there have something similar
