Wedding insurance advice

rhiannaoliviab, 30 March, 2021 at 14:26 Posted on Planning 0 2

Hi all,

We're getting married in 2023, and are looking for advice on wedding insurance. Since covid, I'm not sure what to look out for or how much we should be paying. Literally any advice would be amazing - thank you!

    Hi

Congrats on your engagement. Right now I don't think people are offering wedding insurance due to covid. I may be wrong however.

    Hey Rhianna,

When we sorted our insurance pre-covid ours came to around £80 but it totally depends on your wedding and how much cover you need. We got ours through Debenhams and I went through a questionnaire which asked me how much we would need to cover for rearrangement/cancellation, how much for ceremonial attire, flowers, rings, cake, photography etc.

Page 2 of this document should give you an idea - Debenhams policy

We got the mid-range 'Emerald' cover which covers up to £15,000 for rearrangement/cancellation.
