Wedding Invites

With people needing to travel from overseas I’d at least send a save the date type thing or email even to give people a heads up as they’ll need to save for flights. I wouldn’t worry about official invites until nearer the time

A couple of issues with sending invites so soon
- people might not be able to commit that far in advance, or might want to RSVP later and then forget - you will likely have to chase lots of RSVPs. Circumstances may also change, so they may respond one way and then want to change their mind nearer the time.
- you may not have all the information you need to send invites - menu choices, logistical details, etc.
I would suggest a digital save the date. This is also a great opportunity to collect postal addresses if you don’t have them all already. There are fancy websites which do it all for you (for a lower price than physical ones to post), or they can be as basic as a screenshot type image from a free template.
