Wedding invites when you have a wedding website

RomanticIvoryBridesmaid30590, 5 October, 2021 at 15:22 Posted on Planning 0 3
Hello,

We are just doing our invites just now for the end of March 2022. We are keen to get them out early because we have a wedding website set up with lots of info that lots of people are asking us already and we want to send the details of it out with the invites. Its got all the information on it regarding transport, hotels etc and we have people travelling from overseas (we did send save the dates out a few months back). Our gift registry is also on the site. If you had a wedding website, how much info did you put on the additional info card? Just the details of the website itself? Did you do the same for evening only guests?
Also we are not getting the invites done with each party's names as it saves a faff if people can't come and we are able to shift other people to daytime from night time. Anyone else just address the envelopes to those exactly invited? We thought about putting a wee poem on the card explaining that is the case and working in that we can't fit everyone's kids in.
Sorry so many questions lol!!!
Thanks for any help. 🙏❤😊

We have made ours on Canva and will simply attach to an email we are sending to each party, we felt this was simpler, free and also more sustainable than paper ones. The email will confirm that all the info is on the website and that when they RSVP it will bring up everyone in their party so they will know if kids are invited. we will address the email to the names of invitees, such as James and Grace. We kept it simple in terms of date, time and where and then point them to the website, which has all the info and just explained how to RSVP. I would send your day invites now but wait for responses before sending evening ones, as then you can send out a Day one to anyone you bump up for the Evening. You can then send Evening ones out once you have your final day numbers. I would give 4 weeks for a reply and then you can chase up if no response. Be mindful of when you need to give caterer the final numbers, give yourself 3 weeks before that date to chase people so you have enough time, if that makes sense!

Oh that's great Charlotte, thank you. I hadn't thought about sending out day ones first and then evening ones later. Totally makes sense!

Glad to help, it just means your guests dont feel like they were on the B list so to speak if you bump them up!
