Wedding Lingerie Practicalities

Mrs-Riley, 22 June, 2016 at 15:21 Posted on Planning 0 2

So I am now starting to think about getting my wedding lingerie, as I need it for my final dress fitting on the 23rd July. I really like the idea of a body suit, as opposed to a basque and have found one in M&S which has light tummy control, as well as the option of having it strapless, which I'm thinking will be a plus.

I'm just trying to fathom where the popper fastening would be - would it be on the back, or would it be underneath like a baby grow? I'm worried if it's on the back it's going to an absolute faff to go to the toilet (not too bad, as I am having a tea length dress, but still!).

I'm also not entirely sure what colour would be best to go for, the 'almond' or the white under my ivory dress?

& do you think one of these types of body suits would have the right kind of support being strapless?

I definitely do not buy lingerie often enough for these questions!

They tend to be like a baby grow

Any i have always had press studs underneath. Not sure how easy that is with armfuls o f dress to refasten. As regards poor bridesmaid helping let's not go there! I must be a bit long in the body as I'm not tall but struggle to have the cups high enough up to feel like I'm getting support.

Yes, I would guess this would be underneath like a babygro. I would probably go for the almond/nude colour. I find it more practical as it definitely won't show through your dress and you have more opportunities then to wear it again in the future.
