Wedding Magician

sophieoakesrogers, 8 August, 2011 at 12:38 Posted on Planning 0 17

Hi all!

Wondered if anyone could help... We are considering getting a wedding magician to entertain our guests in between various events during the day. Iv had one recommendation that looks really good- http://cwmagic.co.uk, but wondered if any body else has had a magician and could share how it went and the name of the person?? We are getting married in Hertfordshire....

i THINK he might be based in essex but not sure! i was a bit sceptical about magicians at weddings (thought it sounded really cheesey!) but he was so good - he mingled with everyone at the drinks reception and then again at the weddnig breakfast tables before the food came out. was very impressed!

Entertaining guests during the photo period. If you have a longish drinks reception photo period then a close up magician can really help. Performing table magic during the wedding breakfast. and in the evening reception.

I quite like this idea and think it would be good to have a magician mingle with my guests during the time of the room change over and up until maybe the start of the buffet in the evening.

Does anyone have any pricing for hiring a magician ??

I remember the guy we saw had a price range between £250-£450 depending how many hours you wanted them to be there.

We would like to have a magician for after the ceremony and whilst the photos are going on. I think the guy we found (whose name escapes me at the mo) was £250 for 1 or 2 hours. x

I recommend Nick Einhorn. I played the piano at a private party last year and he was entertaining the guests all evening with some superb tricks. I think he has been on ITV a couple of times.

☹️.... feeling disappointed as H2B isn't keen on this idea, thinks it'll be a bit naff and a waste of money...what ever happened to " have what you like as long as it's in the budget"??

We had CW Magician at our wedding and it was fantastic! I really wanted to do something different at my wedding and thought a magician would be great but was worried about making sure I got a good one. But Chris was brilliant and I can highly recommend him. He's got loads of info and videos on his website so you can get a feel for what he does http://www.cwmagic.co.uk
