It's possible to get married very cheaply, especially as so much of what is regarded as 'essential' isn't really necessary. But you do need to work out a budget and stick to it.

Sit down with your fiance as soon as possible and work out what you can afford for each event and what your priorities are, then go from there.

Congratulations in your engagement!! I would definitely recommend having a talk with your fiance and working out what you can afford to put away each month and what the overall budget would then be. That's what me and my fiance have done; we have a standing order set up into a savings account so we're saving as soon as we're paid! From there you can workout your priorities and maybe look at what you can make work for a ceremony in both locations so you're not needing to buy everything twice, e.g. having a dress suitable for the Caribbean climate and then having a detachable overskirt for the English weather (just a random thought) Definitely don't panic, you have got time!
