Wedding reading for my friend to say at the church ceremony

SomethingBlue11, 21 July, 2017 at 19:58 Posted on Planning 0 5

Thought this would be easy but I'm finding it hard to find a reading for my friend to say at our church service. At the moment they all seem to be in the first person like 'I love you when...' etc which I think is more for the bride or groom to say to each other. Just wondered if anyone has any suggestions?

Ideally none religious as she is atheist and one of our other friends is doing the religious one. Any ideas would be great thank you!

We are having The Celtic Blessing which is

    May you have

    Walls for the wind

And a roof for the rain

    And drinks beside the fire

    Laughter to cheer you

    Those you love near you

And all that your heart may desire.
