My husband-to-be and I would like to hire a village hall for our wedding reception and go down the "DIY" route. We are getting married in Leverstock Green and would ideally like a village hall/community centre venue somewhere near there for around 80 guests . For us the a priority is having green space! We'd like somewhere we can set up garden games, tug-of-war, coconut shy, a bouncy castle etc. for guests to enjoy while they hang around (eating ice cream ) waiting for food to be served etc. There are so many out there and without photos that I think it's going too and no take us forever! We live in Hemel Hempstead and we've seen Hastoe (gorgeous but no outside space ), Flaunden (not big enough) and Chalton (beautiful but too far away and no nearby Hotel)
If anyone does know of any pretty village halls in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire or Buckinghamshire, that would be suitable for a wedding reception with outdoor space/green, please let me know!
