Does anyone know whether you can hold an indoor wedding reception for 15 people before May 17th my wedding is May 16th

Unfortunately not - only indoor from the 17th of May (at the earliest).

Hello,

Yes you can - this is the text on the government website for Step 2 ie. from 12th April. Note the final line says weddings: ” In all the venues above, indoor events that bring people together - even if they do not mix with other households - must not run until Step 3. This is only permitted if there is an explicit exemption - this includes support groups, supervised activities for children, parent-and-child groups (up to 15 people, not counting those aged under five), communal worship, or a wedding, reception or commemorative event like a wake.“

Did you manage too get a reception booked. I'm getting married 15th May, after originally may 2020 then Sept 2020. We can't rearrange due to my sister inlaw terminally ill. So I've got my head around the 13 guests but now trying to find a pub that will take 15 for a wedding. Happy to sit in the pub garden. I'm waiting for a pub to get back to me, otherwise I may have to book separate bookings under different names. Hope you've had luck

Confusion all around due to the Govs lack of clarity. It now looks like you can not even get married in many venues.
