Wedding Renewal - Is it a silly idea?

So I'm planning my wedding renewal for the summer before my 40th birthday so May/June 2026.


I am planning my renewal as we will have been married 13yr on the 3rd December 2026. Which is also my birthday., yes I got married on my birthday. However we will have been together 15yr in the May. So I know it sounds selfish but I want to celebrate my 40th birthday rather than my wedding anniversary and make a big fuss of my wedding renewal. Simply being we didn't have a proper 'traditional' wedding. We didn't have my 'dream' we had 0 bridesmaids, 0 groomsmen, 0 wedding dress I was heavily pregnant and wore a pink blush maternity maxi dress from ASOS. So I never got to try the dresses on, get the excitement factor. Neither of us have worn wedding rings... We didn't have any! We have 0 wedding photo's as only had 10 guests which were family. The photo's we do have I cried at as had no real photo's. I was married at 4pm and in bed by 9pm with a box of chocolates watching Dirty Dancing.
So this time I want to go all out and go all wedding dream. That I would have loved to have had at my OG wedding.
Is this a silly idea?
