Wedding ring - designing your own

I would think most of the jewellers in Hatton Garden would offer this service - I certainly know of two or three who do. Head up there for the day and try and make some appointments, some do offer a walk in service too, and try out some jewellers.

They are fantastic ! They made my ER, at really short notice - we were only in London for a week before flying back to Hong Kong, and he had his team make the most beautiful art deco design that I had in my head ! Havent had my wedding ring made yet as I will not be back to London til January - but deffo go see him, such a lovely bloke !

I love my ring and the pre-purchase service was brilliant, they worked within my budget and suggested adaptations to rings that I loved to make them affordable, and let me choose the stones to go in it too which was fun.

However, they have been quite sloppy with their after sales service, e.g. not phoning us or posting the valuation certificate when promised, so I would be hesitant to recommend, but glad you got good service!

In general Hatton Garden gets a thumbs up from me, it feels very romantic up there with all the other couples, and there is so much choice! Prices seem to be better value than independent jewellers in regular high streets too.

Have to agree with you about Hatton Gardens though - we saved a huge chunk by going there - As for John Lawrence, I have 4 work colleagues in the London office who used them and all gave recommendations, so he looked after us well.

I would call them to demand the valuation quick smart !

I know that any of the shops in Hatton Garden will be able to offer the service, try a few out. You usually get a good rapport with someone and you'll just know. You don't have to make any decisions straight away either. Get some idea of costs and then shop around. Alan Bick (****@********.**.**) did my engagement ring (OH designed it, with help from them!) and both wedding rings, and we were very happy.

We got ours from the Wedding Ring Workshop in Hatton Garden. We did the "make your own" thing but they also do their own handmade rings.

Think about having a tungsten or titanium wedding ring. It is not too hard to have a custom made ring. post or send me a pic of the band and I can see If we can do anything for you.

I recommend Cooljoolz (we got ours from them) and they even come to your house. They are nation-wide. They have a design-your-own service in any metal you desire!
