Wedding Ring From Etsy

DreamsComeTrue2015, 19 October, 2016 at 10:45 Posted on Planning 0 9

I've seen the wedding band I want but the only place I can find it is Etsy but I'm really worried it might be dodgy. Anyone got any positive experiences?

I use etsy all the time and I've never had an issue.

Just check the seller's reviews - they'll usually steer you in the right direction Smiley smile

I guess it's just so much money I'm stressed if it's dodgy or I don't like it then I can't get a replacement.

It's here - https://www.etsy.com/listing/261281391/rose-gold-art-deco-wedding-band-rose - mine will be 18K yellow gold though. It's slightly over budget and I will need to get my engagement ring changed by a jeweler but I'm totally in love with it!

I bought my wedding ring from Etsy and it was absolutely fine. The seller was UK-based though, so there was no danger of getting stung by import taxes - that's something to watch out for if your item is being posted from overseas.

    It looks lovely.

I would be slightly warier of an overseas seller, simply because import charges are a b*tch.

Have you considered taking this to an independent jeweller and having it priced?

I bought from etsy, it wasnt dodgy... it came packed nice and was what its suppose to be but also due to slight changes it doesnt look as 'amazing' as I had hoped, it has a blue/purple tint to the gem in the photos but mine looks more orange/green tinted ☹️

I do like the ring I just wish I had been able to see/try it first

ps. mine was international but no import fees

I've got some time so I will keep shopping - see if I can't get it from a UK seller.

I need to get my ER raised anyway so I might ask them if they can make what I want - long as it doesn't entirely kill the budget!

I'm looking at rings on etsy at the moment too. is it only certain countries you pay import fees or all? I've only bought abroad from eBay and never had to pay.

My engagement ring is from Etsy, it is the single most gorgeous thing I own. My partner has nothing but good reviews from where it came from. I would throughly recommend Smiley smile
