Wedding rings in London

CBeckford, 4 September, 2014 at 11:09 Posted on Planning 0 7

Hi all,

Are there any London brides who have already bought their rings? We're going to start looking around soon but I'm at a total loss as to where to start! We're not after anything mega flashy, thought some diamonds would be nice ?

I really like the dark metal rings for men and a simple diamond band for myself. Ideally we only want to spend around £1,000 for both.

We're going to the Hatton Garden to have a look around, but wanted to know of any hidden gems too.

There are a lot of shops in HG, but I'd used them for ideas, rather than getting a ring as if you're looking for something on a budget, it may be better to go direct to a maker. I'd suggest me, but I'm not a registered supplier, so I can't, haha!

There are some good designers in places like Craft Central and Langdales - both near Hatton Garden - but you'd need to make an appointment first. I know a few people did 'make your own' ring workshops, which maybe in budget.

If you don't want shaped rings, another option would be to decide what you want by going to try stuff on, then order online and take to a jeweller to have diamonds added once you get them.
Happy to give you more advice if you want - *************@*****.*** Smiley smile

    Thanks Alabastamasta!

I'll look into the maker option and let you know how it goes.

Hello- we also went to Hatton Garden and looked in a few shops. We then made an appointment at Hearts of London who have a workshop (but no shop front) around the back of Hatton Garden. They designed our rings based on what we wanted and the price was incredibly reasonable. Both of the rings are beautiful and they didn't take too long to make, probably about four weeks. I would really recommend them- have a look on tripadvisor as well. They have no end of good reviews on there (that is how we found them as they don't advertise).

    Good luck.

We got our rings from Diamond Palace in Hatton Garden. They were a bit more than your budget but we did both have platinum and I have diamonds in mine and OH had them design his based on something he saw on the net. They were really good and even re engraved hubbies ring for free when he changed his mind. We did get a discount as OH bought my ER from them.
