Wedding shoes

Bridally, 1 May, 2015 at 14:00 Posted on Planning 0 17

Hey ladies,

I really need some wedding shoe inspiration. I LOVE high heels but unfortunately I cannot wear them on the day. I'd be taller than my H2B and also my dress isn't long enough either. Cue big grumpy face from me haha.

Ideally I need 2 1/2 inches at the most. I'm not the biggest fan of kitten heels. I have size 8 feet and I just don't like how my feet look in them.

Is there any inspiration you can give me of a gorgeous shoe with a lower heel?? It doesn't have to be ivory. Could be pale peach/blush or silver/pale grey.

Try Savvy Cinderella Bridal studio. They have a great range including the range called Pink.

    Hope that helps

I had this EXACT problem; I'm the same height as H2B, I never wear heels, I'm a size eight and needed a really low heel otherwise my dress would be swinging round my knees! (Ok, slight exaggeration, but you get my point.)

Then I found these and absolutely fell in love with them! They're not tight like sandles can be and the sparkly bits aren't rough, so they won't catch on the bottom of your dress.

    I got these: http://m.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_63126+1209880_-1

they're ivory with a low wedge heel. I didn't want proper heels as I find them terribly uncomfortable but I did want a small heel to make me a little more graceful (walking) and these seem like a good compromise.

An open toe shoe can make a larger sized, long foot look shorter & smaller. But some people don't like their toes on show. BHS have a sale on too! Elegant steps website is great, you can sort by size, style, heel height, colour etc & they have hundreds of shoes.

I was in the same boat with the height ans size thing, so went for these Rainbow Club shoes. They are so cushioned and comfy, but think they measure out to about a 3inch heel.

I had to double check when I read this post that I hadn't unknowingly typed it myself!! You are EXACTLY the same as me...a lover of high heels who wants to appear shorter than her H2B on her wedding day (I'm 5ft 11 in) with a dress *only just* long enough, and a hater or kitten heels and low heels with size 8 feet!

I struggled like crazy to find something, all the while knowing that whatever wedding shoe I had to settle for, I really wouldn't like them that much Smiley sad

Mine are a shimmery champagne colour and from Next but they're from a previous season so no longer available. I've checked online though and they do have a few other passable pairs!

My dream shoes were both way out of my budget and far to high a heel to be worn all day sadly.

However after a lot of searching I found and went for these...

I got my wedding shoes from Rachel Simpson after months of research.

They are ivory and gold t-bar shoes with a small heel and closed toe. I also got some stunning clips to add onto them for some extra bling.

    Hi,

try the wedding shoe designers rainbow. They sell them online in most big department stores, John Lewis, house of fraiser, possibly debenhams. They also had some in store in the john Lewis in London. They have all different heel heights (my h2b is not much taller than me so I had to be careful with heels too haha)

You can also have them customised to any colour. I have kept mine in ivory for now but I may have them sprayed cornflower blue to match my theme (also gives met 'something blue'!) they cost between £50-£90.

    Good luck!

Orangecakes, this is a really old thread you've bumped to promote these shoes. If you want to advertise you should sign up to be a Hitcher in Business otherwise it's not fair on the other HIBs who pay their subscription.
