Wedding shoes

Huggers2018, 11 of July of 2020 at 18:39 Posted on Planning 2 15

So I’m looking for ideas where to get shoes from. Had to be wide fit and bright red. I don’t mind a small heel but that would be all. And closed at the front . I just can’t find anything. I have looked at simply be,

yours, debenhams, next, new look and just nothing. Smiley sad any shoe shops people recommend ? I don’t want to spend much money either so not spending over 35 on it

Have you tried Irregular Choice and Ruby Shoo? Also Joe Browns might be worth a look.

Depending on your style, you could try Pavers and Hotter, both cater for wider feet, and some of their designs are quite retro looking.

If you are on a shoe budget, try eBay, gumtree and maybe depop. Shoes can always be cleaned inside and out!

    Hooe this helps,

The brands you mentioned are very expensive. As mentioned I don’t want to spend much . And these sites are at least 40 plus. I work for pavers and none unfortunately work. I don’t want a shoe shop specifically for wedding shoes as they push the prices up just wonder if anyone knows of any places that do wide shoes I could try . Just cheap like Debenhams next etc

I also got my shoes from Amazon. I was struggling to find what I wanted, Ivory lace, peeptoe with a sling back and not too high. I found some which had pearls on the front and decided to take a punt and see if once they arrived i could remove them. It worked great and I got the shoes I wanted for around £30 inc delivery and you would never know what they used to look like. So dont discount things with added stuff as it can sometime be removed.

Have you got any pinterest images of what you want and just cant find ones to buy? Someone on here might have seen exactly what you are looking for Smiley smile

Another vote here for Amazon! That's where I got mine. In fact I got 2 pairs to choose from and I'm happy with both. Much cheaper than high street options, better selection and easy to return if needed.

I guess one thing to consider is how close is your wedding date? If you need them fast and don't want to risk ordering and not liking them due to time constraints then the Amazon option might not work for you.

    Hi hun,

Like I said, try ebay, gumtree, pre-loved, sellmywedding, depop, etc. Shoes can be cleaned inside and out.

I always thought Debenhams a bit pricey to be honest.

Depending on when your wedding is, you could pick up some great bargains in the sales.

Strange you should mention Pavers, I was looking on their site LAST NIGHT(!!!!) and they had the Joanna (I think that was the name) shoe on sale in red for £19. I will try and post a link for you. xx

Apologies, Hotter, not Pavers and £15 not £19!

    Good (shoe) hunting!

Sorry! At the risk of hogging the thread

What about a pair of ivory shoes that you can dye? You can pick up the style you're after for not much, and buy the dye for about £10, I think. The shoes would have to be satin or similar for the dye to "take", but it might work out as a better option for you?

Shoe hunting is a really complex thing. But when I was trying to find casual look with mine evening jacket, it was like in the hell... I combined the jacket with the belt and trousers. It looked awesome I must say, the whole look's description https://storyofthebride.com/2020/casual-wedding-looks-ideas-for-a-modern-bride/

But I have to mention this will work only for casual weddings. So if you have something custom - find custom dress, shoes and everything else)

    Hey, Huggers2018!

Have you also tried everything5pounds.com? I have had some amazing bargains from there. A lot of it is de-branded goods from the likes of George, New Look, Next etc. You do have to sift through the stuff that's not to your taste, but I have had some real gems!

Here's a few currently on the site. Hope this helps!

Just noticed this thread. You must check out TPS dance shoes. They custom make dance shoes to any colour/ size and so many styles and heel sizes to choose. (Don't necessarily go straight to the wedding range - browse a bit). All you need to do is specify that you would like an outdoor sole rather than dance shoe sole.

Unfortunately no. I’ve looked online and lot of people are saying amazon which is fine but you can search “wide” and then the searches that come up are not wide at all . I will try again and try eBay again I guess
