Hi! Pinterest and Canva have been a lifeline for me...I bought some plain crates, painted them in my colour scheme and stencilled on wording - a similar thing might work for signs? Happy to help with other ideas if that would be useful? Smiley smile Enjoy the creative side of wedding planning!

Is it a welcome sign? We’ve got Welcome to the Wedding Reception of Mr & Mrs Xxx and the date.

We’ve got a script font to match our invites but you can mix it up Smiley smile
Would love to chat some ideas with you!

I second Kathryn's sentiments! Canva is AMAZING. I do use it for work (I am in Marketing) and thus use the Pro version (which I do actually recommend to pay for if you are designing everything yourself - they can print everything out for you too). It is great for suggesting designs. I used a template on Canva for my wedding invites and then just altered it to the style/colours etc. I liked!

If you already have all of your supplies I would just the Canva templates it for some inspiration!

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! Signs are a nice personal touch. Maybe keep it simple with your monogram/colors in a clean font? Pictures of the venue or homemade decor items could also work. You could even feature favorite things about each other. Don't stress over perfection - your love is the real message. I'm sure whatever you create with care will be wonderful. Wishing you all the best as you plan such a special day!

Definitely Canva templates will help. For a Welcome Sign, we actually bought a chalk board and wrote the welcome which looked nice and affordable compared to the ones you have to buy outright!

Hi! If you’re finding it difficult to come up with ideas, it can really help to start with a theme rather than trying to design everything from scratch. Once you have a clear concept, it becomes much easier to decide what to write and how everything should look. For example, we’re planning a wedding where one part is quite traditional, and the evening turns into a casino-style party. It’s actually not the easiest theme to find on Pinterest, but that made it easier to be creative ourselves because we had a clear direction. For the party side, we’re designing signs and decor inspired by casino elements, using a black, red and gold colour palette, incorporating playing card symbols, and creating signage like “Welcome to the Casino” or table names based on games like roulette or blackjack. What helped a lot with ideas was looking at how real casino games are presented. We even checked review sites like https://magyarcasinobonus.com/befizetes-nelkuli-bonusz/ where you can see what games exist and how they work visually. It gives you inspiration for colours, symbols and layouts that you can adapt into your own wedding decor. So if you’re feeling stuck, choosing even a simple theme can really give you a starting point and make the whole process much easier.

Hi! Wedding welcome signs can be simple but still look beautiful and personal. You can start with a clean, elegant layout—something like “Welcome to the Wedding of [Names]” with your date underneath, using script fonts paired with a simple serif font. Popular design styles include minimalist (white background with black or gold text), floral (soft greenery or watercolor flowers around the edges), or rustic (wood textures with handwritten-style fonts). You can also match the sign to your wedding theme or color palette to keep everything cohesive. In Canva, try exploring templates and even turning your design into a shareable page using Canva’s Website Builder (https://www.canva.com/website-builder/), which lets you easily create and publish a simple one-page design with customizable templates and no coding needed. () Keep it readable from a distance and avoid overcrowding—less is usually more for a classy look. Hope that helps and congratulations on your wedding!
