Wedding venue contract - template

Copperheart, 17 of July of 2017 at 14:28 Posted on Planning 0 1

Hello, I have a wedding venue but no contract. I'm aware that if anything falls through I'd have needed to have a formal contract in place in order for my insurance policy to be valid. All being well nothing will go wrong but I'd like to have some security around this. Does anyone have or can point me in the right direction for a sample/template?

Kind regards

Kerry

Agree completely with the above; the venue needs to supply the contract, not you.

It's rather unusual that they haven't, have you paid the deposit yet? Or are you just "penciled in"? If you've paid a deposit, then there should be a contract, if you're "penciled in" the booking isn't formally agreed yet.

May also depend on the venue, if they are a bit unusual or don't normally do weddings they may not know what's expected of them. But at the very least you need a signed document stating the date, terms of payment and what's expected of who, i.e catering or alcohol who is responsible for damages etc.
