Wedding venue flooring!

Victoria, 3 June, 2021 at 22:58 Posted on Planning 0 1
I have been to view and received a brilliant quote for a really lovely venue but it has a bright red carpet that doesn’t really lend itself to my colour scheme! I’m thinking maybe hiring another carpet from a marquee company or maybe just a massive dance floor to try and cover it!
Has anyone else had this situation? If so what did you do? Everyone keeps saying it won’t matter on the day but I just don’t want to walk in on the day and be gutted about it! Wedding venue flooring! 1

I don't think another carpet on top will be viable. The marquee type carpets are pinned with loads of pins into the ground or if it has a plywood base then they are stapled. I doubt the venue will allow due to damage and I doubt a marquee company would want to be liable for accidents due to not being able to fix it down adequately.

To try and cover most of it with a dance floor would cost a fortune and likely no supplier would have one big enough apart from a very specialist one maybe.

    Sorry Smiley sad

What time of year is it.
