wedding venue - too small

MissWarface, 9 December, 2013 at 15:31 Posted on Planning 0 10

All of them seem it be too small - I am losing the will to live Smiley sad

Help me if you can - need to stay local - Hertfordshire and find a venue

100 people sit down meal and 250 - 300 for the evening do - would accept a marquee but alot of places dont put them up until late May (looking to get married early May) - have looked into hiring land / marquee but issue with toilets and cash bars etc.

Dont want somewhere where it is just a hall.....want a little bit of character and nice grounds.

Smiley sad anyone out there who can help??

pretty please

Natalie

What's the problem with hiring toilets? You can hire quite nice event toilets. No idea about the cash bar. Is it that you want an open bar or cash bar? What's the problem?

    Sorry I'm not much help.

    Priory barns in Little Wymondly?

A friend of mine got married there recently and it was lovely! She had a big wedding too.

For work I've had to Oder from a company called four jays near Maidstone, and they do marquee hire and a whole range of toilets. Check them out here: http://fourjays.co.uk/products/?id=superlux&cat=toilets

See if marquee hire companies near you offer similar!

Another friends wedding was held here. 140 for a meal and 250 party maximum capacity. It has large grounds and fixed facilities! The barns are in a 'U' form - so older relatives have the option to sit elsewhere quietly away from the party barn.

Knebworth I have worked at dozens of times and is a great venue....Look also at Hitchin Priory. The Old Priory at Little Wymondley mentioned above is possibly my favourite Herts Venue........Try also The Node.....lots and lots of great venues possible....Your upper limit of 300 will stretch many venues though....

Contact your local marquee supplier and they should be able to provide you with a list of possible venues. They will be able to supply some very plush toilets with heating, piped music, artwork on the walls, toiletries etc etc

seach google for mobile bars for your mobile bar requirements - your marquee supplier could also make some suggestions for this as well
