Miss-b, 2 February, 2016 at 11:56 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi Ladies, as the title says, I'm looking for a recommendation for a wedding website.

Ideally want a free, easy to use one!

Thanks Smiley smile

I used getting married.co.UK or could be .com can't remember but it fits both of your criteria. Free and easy to use.

We're using AppyCouple which isn't free, but it's a one time payment of around £25. The thing I like the best about it is the guest management system. When our guests log in to the website for the first time it collects their email addresses so we can easily send out any additional information as necessary. You can also allocate plus ones, group guests into parties so one family member can RSVP for everyone, and guests can RSVP using the website. You can select which guests are invited to each event and only those events will be visible to them when they log in, which is helpful if you'd like to organize your stag/hen through it as well. After the wedding guests can share their photos through the website. It also comes with an app which I'm not sure our guests will use (although we've had a few so far - I have to manually approve anyone requesting to use the app) but it's helpful for us because we receive notifications if someone RSVPs or contacts us with a question about the wedding.

This is what the back end looks like. You can import/export your guest list as well.

We're using zankyou which does the same stuff and is free. You can add lots to it, however much you want really. People can put their photos on too. The only thing to be aware of is that the site is yours once set up for a year, so don't set it up too early :-) its good site though

We're using theknot, which is free. I believe it's American and you can tell in some of the settings when you are building it, but nothing that the guests would see.

We've hidden a lot of bits but they do have extra features. I can't comment on those much though as we are really just using the site for extra information - not RSVP or anything like that. That is an option on our site but I haven't tried it outso can't really help.

We did start with gettingmarried but I just personally preferred the designs available on theknot.

We're using gettingmarried.co.uk - I loved the idea of AppyCouple, but it seemed daft to spend yet more money on something we could get for free.

Thanks for the recommendations! I will take a look and decide which I like!

I am sending STD out via email and was thinking about adding a link to the wedding website to eliminate too many calls or texts asking me questions!
