Weddings abroad.... linen suits for men

*porsche*, 21 October, 2009 at 13:28 Posted on Planning 0

Just want to pick your brains again on wedding suits for the men.

My h2b is always like a hot water bottle so he has suggested wearing a linen suit for the wedding, as we are planning on getting married abroad.

1. Would all the male wedding party then wear the same suit?

2. Do they wear some kind of cravat / tie with this ensemble?

3. Where would I implement the 'colour' into it?

How would it work?

HELP!!!

We got married in mid 30's heat a few weeks ago, and my H is always complaining of feeling hot anyway.

We bought him a linen/cotten mix suit from M&S (£140) and it was great, no sweat patches on his back, it also didn't crease like billy-o. It was stone coloured. He wore it with a floral cotton shirt from John Rocha.

There's no way he would have ben comfortable in a morning suit...and tbh neither would any our guests.

It was cheap enough to be able to afford a few if you wanted, but we didn't have a BM or ushers so it wasn't a problem...in fact my H was the only one to wear a jacket! He had a pink button hole and the pattern was green on his shirt, so the colours worked lovely.
