I got married in Majorca last year and used a company called www.gourmetclique.com The lady that runs the operation is called Stephanie...she has venues (she will take you around Majorca and show you these venues), musicians and she does the catering.

I went to a wedding in Canyamel last year and it was beautiful. They hired out this boutique hotel and had a sit down BBQ, the food was great and the location stunning. I have no idea about prices there but it was A.ma.zing.

I'm getting married in Majorca in 5 weeks time in a gorgeous part of the South West called Portals Nous. We are using a great planner called Jane Sancho from Mallorca Blessings. She can work to any budget. We are having getting married in the church there that sits on the clifftop overlooking the marina and having our reception at Port Alt next door. Is a stunning location and very relaxed

We are hoping to get married at cala dor yacht club May/June 2012, going out for a look this coming May

Just wondering about this issue of legalities. I am catholic my OH isnt. we dont really want to get married in a church, would prefer outside. would a catholic priest perform a ceremony outside of the church?

i really want to get married in majorca, but keep thinking if i have to get married here first, is there any point making everyone travel over ?

Hello I tried to call yacht club cala dor but it seems it is shut in the winter and i was told the wedding planner had left. We were there in the summer and the hotel where we stayed said that the club is maybe shutting down completely. we wanted to have help with catholic priest as doesnt speak english. So now have found a finca which we will go with now, as gardens dont overlook boatyard also worried about shareing area with sunbathers in garden and noisey pool area. lady at mymallorcawedding has been very helpful if you need info.

Hi everyone

Just to confirm the Yacht Club Cala d'Or is closed purely for the winter months (mid Nov - mid Feb) and will reopen on 14th February. I am the wedding planner and can be contacted anytime of the year on ********@*********.*** if anyone has any questions.

Weird.. coz was there a couple of weeks ago to sort out finca.. and woz still shut. Bar near the yacht club in cala dor marina said wouldn't open til about now if at all... ???? lots of bad comments from locals.... guess you are the new lady?

Hello there, the gym and bar has been open for several weeks during the day and the restaurant officially re-opened on 9th April with new breakfast, lunch and dinner menus so do come and check us out. We have launched our Easter and Summer Activities Programme which is available to view on our website and have our busiest season to date for weddings and events so we are most definately open. No, Im not the new lady, I've worked at the Yacht Club for 2.5 years so if you need any assistance, I am sure I will be able to help.

Hello everybody, before I add my thoughts to the previous posts, I would like to introduce myself, I am Sergio, the General Manger at the Yacht Club Cala d’Or and the person in charge of all the weddings and events .

Sometimes comments like the ones above make me wonder where they come from, probably our competitors who are finding things difficult at present and rather than concentrating their energy on looking for ways to improve their business they choose to talk badly about their competitors.

I refuse to play this game as it is not the way we deal with these sort of situations at the Yacht Club. We speak with fact: for 2011 we have already booked 22 weddings and 5 on the way being finalised. For 2012 we have 6 confirmed and approx 45 strong enquiries. We believe we will get to 50. For 2013 and 2014 we already have already got few enquiries. If these numbers sounds like a business that is going to close any time soon, well I will let other people comment on that…….

i got married last month in mallorca at the hilton sa torre. it was beyond amazing and i still can't believe it was 3 weeks ago.

we used salon b hair and make up ladies.....they are british, so it's easy to explain what and how you want things and they were on time!!! you need that when getting married in spain! they were also very reasonably priced - http://www.salonbportals.com/
