Weddings in Portugal or Italy

*porsche*, 25 August, 2009 at 09:58 Posted on Honeymoons & Getting Married Abroad 0 6

Has anyone got married there?

If so, can you give me some advice on venues etc.

Just an idea at the mo, but warming to the idea and would love some ideas / help.

    Hi Nicola07,

I am an Italian Wedding planner based in Bournemouth(www.demarevents.co.uk), I specialise in Weddings in Italy, you shall be spoilt for choice in Italy, Tuscany and the Amalfi coast are very popular destinations, was it a beach, country or mountain setting you had in mind for your Wedding ceremony. Are you having a civil, religious or symbolic ceremony?

    ? Natalie

Not sure tbh, am so torn between what we want and want my h2b to start making decisions but think he wants me to sort it all. It will be a civil ceremony, I think. Neither of us are religious. Think I would like something overlooking a beach and then the meal to be in a marquee in the same place.

    Aaaaaaaarrrrggggghhhhh!

We get married on the 24.09.09 in Portugal and I can't wait!!!

We are using Algarve Planners (due to the fact that the legalities can be slightly complicated...but we were fine)

We are gettign married near to Albufiera on a beach and then having our reception in a local restaurant that we always visit when we go

Keep an eye out for my report when we get back

I would suggest Italy. Based from the books that I read the most romantic places in Italy to get married are above all Venice. I do not have any idea of how much you will be spending, but I bet you should keep one now. ?

Tuscany is located in the heart of Italy. Tuscany is also famous for meadows, olive trees and wine yards.

Sicily is full of exciting spots. The place shows the picture of true Rome. There are amazing Beaches in Sicily whose sight you would not like to miss out.

While in Italy destinations i.e. the Hotels and resorts, you will be served the most delicious cuisine in the whole world. The resorts in Italy offer entertainment facilities like diving, swimming, snorkeling and much more…
