Weight loss Surgery Advise

My friend's sister had a gastric band about 3/4 months ago. I think it was around £5,000 privately.

I had a gastric band fitted almost 6 months ago in Belgium. Had a fantastic experience, quick recovery and steady weightloss since and would do it again in a heartbeat - but that's just me.

For info look at http://www.wlsinfo.org.uk/ - good forum with lots of different experiences. There's also https://www.bariatricpal.com, which is American but again has lots of advice.

I would think very very hard about whether surgery is the right choice for you - it's not easy, it's not cheap and it's a lifetime commitment. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

The Birkdale Clinic offer gastric bands and balloons. They have private hospitals in Liverpool, London and Rotherham. The thing to do is phone Gavin Royle on ****. He is really helpful and would discuss all the options with you, including finance. They also do band adjustments, even if you've previously had surgery elsewhere, and can advise on post weight-loss surgery. Hope this helps.

This company have prices on their website and are a subsiduary of the company I used for my tummy tuck. They are cheaper as they use a different, less luxurious hospital, but do use the same surgeons.
