Wellbeing Advice please!!

Lianne, 30 April, 2025 at 12:59 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 2

Hiya everyone, I'm an August 2026 Bride and need some serious help.

My skin is AWFUL. I'm talking breakouts, flakey skin, the lot. Please could I have some advice on good skin care routines or anything else at all that could make my skin look nice for once?

Also, could you let me know of any other well-being advice you may have?

Thank you,

from a very panicked bride-to-be!

If you google Natalie O’Neill she has great advice for skin products but it’s to start well in advance (as you get married next year, you have time)

Skin can take time to settle, but you’ve got plenty of time before August 2026, so try not to panic. A basic routine often works better than lots of products. Something like:

    • Gentle cleanser (no scrubs)

    • Hydrating serum like hyaluronic acid

    • Light moisturiser

    • SPF every morning

    • Introduce one active slowly, like salicylic acid for breakouts or niacinamide for redness/texture

Sometimes flaky + spotty skin is a sign of over-stripping, so keeping things simple can really help. If it’s severe or painful, a GP or dermatologist can give you targeted treatment.

For general well-being: drink water, sleep as well as you can, manage stress, and keep routines consistent — it all shows on your skin.

You’ve got lots of time, and your wedding glow doesn’t need to be perfect to be beautiful.
