Welsh Love Spoons With Flash

Rebecca86, 20 February, 2011 at 12:48 Posted on Planning 0 18

A possible wedding favour for the guests, (the mini one)

All OH family are Welsh so will love these & keep them

My family all English and wouldn't have a clue what they were but once they've read the little card explaining about them i'm sure they'll all keep theirs

The love spoons will just be for the adults they can then in years to come pass them down,

Children attending are getting sweetie favours

Going to have a look around Wales the next time we go & pick some up to match the colour theme

Here's a little flash on the one's i've found on the web there's a few we like and a few we don't

I have seen this before and they work really well as favours. On the last example, they put personalised ribbon round the top with name and wedding date in their colours which worked well.

Could work as a talking point between the two families as well which is always good.

That's what we were thinking of doing.

I'm pretty sure they'll do down well

Do you have any shop recommendations in Cardiff

As we'll be there in the summer visiting family.

They are fab. I was thinking of getting these as favours for my wedding but my cousin got married just before me and had them so had to have something different then but they went down a treat with the guests.

Each one has a meaning though, so make sure you find one that is important to you.

Being Welsh myself, they hold an important place in my heart.

    They're really lovely.

My OH is Welsh too and I did consider them as favours, but we went with chocolates instead. I'm going to order one for OH for his little present box though.

I bought one for my brother's wedding last December as he now lives in America and was marrying an american and I used this site www.welsh-love-spoons.com
We had it with their names and wedding date on which was lovely but don't know if they do the mini ones.

It's no problem. I'll try and pop down there one lunch time this week and get back to you.

I'm just trying to think of where else would sell them in Cardiff. Surely we have more than one Welsh shop lol!

Oohh, just found their website. They don't have any prices on there, but they do have an Ebay store, so you might be able to get some idea of the designs/prices on there

    The website is:- http://www.castlewelshcrafts.co.uk/index.asp

I'm Welsh and getting married abroad, I'm ordering Welsh love spoons as they're easy to take abroad (rather than chocs or alcohol) I'll find the website I'm ordering mine from as they were only about £2.50 each including a printed tag, bow and diamante on them. Men are having scratch cards lol x
