This might be super cheesy but why not have table names with things like 'tom jones', 'dafodills' etc. I'd also be tempted to have one with that really long place name in but I know that's really silly!

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychchwyndrobwyllantysiliogogogoch there ya go- it's only a 15 min drive from me Smiley winking

Miss h to mrs h you totally stole my idea!!!

The other thing you could do is to have the table numbers in welsh, so still 1, 2, 3 etc but in welsh. My welsh is rubbish I only know 5 is pimp.....

We're getting married in Betws Y Coed and are having the Snowdonia mountain names, Snowdon, Tryfan, Glydders, Cantilever etc - not finalised as yet, but as my OH has a habit of draggin me up them we thought we'd like them as our table names. We're also planning on having some of our vows in Welsh. Smiley smile

Cwtch is the best welsh word by far Smiley laugh. If it was us we would probably end up with rugby players haha. You could have princes/chiefs ect like llewellyn, caradoc, owain glyndwr. Or people from welsh legends with a shortened version of the story on the table.

Also I have seen welsh cakes in heart shapes for favours which looked quite nice

How about flower names in Welsh?

Daffodil is Welsh to start with, but then you've got Rose - rhosyn, Lily - lili, Orchid - tegeirian, Poppy - pabi, Crocus - crocws, Violet - fioled, Primrose - briallu... and Google translate can help you with any that I can't think of right now/any special favourites.
