West Bridgford, Nottingham Venus ideas - halls, function rooms etc

WickyWack, 3 September, 2012 at 09:24 Posted on Planning 0 1

As the title suggests, we've had a change of heart due to family sticking their two pence worth in and have decided to please ourselves rather than our family who didn't seem to appreciate the sacrifices we were making travelling 180 miles to cumbria to get married where they all live rather than where we live, in West Bridgford.

sooo, does any one know of good, cheap and cheerful halls, function rooms in West bridgford?

    Hi Wickywack

    https://www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/venues/westbridgfordcommunityhall/

    https://www.rushcliffe.gov.uk/venues/sirjuliencahnpavilion/

Both council owned/run - low cost lovely buildings/locations with great amenities. Both are close to West Bridgford REgistry office - lovely georgian hall in the park

Some of the bars in Central avenue might be available to hire - http://www.themonkeytree.co.uk/ has an upstairs room.

Thanks for all your replys folks!

Looked further into the cricket pavillion and community hall and unfortunately they have pretty strict rules on drinking alcohol and the cut off point to which you can do so (the caretaker apparently hangs around too to make sure!)

BUT, today, I have come across this place - The Lace Market Hotel! Its looks gorgeous and we would ideally use the *** and Hoop for the reception area.
