What are you wearing/did you wear to your hen do?

kharding2014, 30 of May of 2014 at 13:46 Posted on Planning 0 29

I just received my STD for my Hen Do!! It's a weekend so I'm really hoping that they haven't gone too over the top pr expensive. I've just left them to it.

I'm pretty sure that part of the hen will be a night out somewhere and was thinking about what to wear.

what are you all wearing/did wear on yours? I don't want to look tacky but this will be my only chance to be a hen.

I used to love fancy dress & every birthday I would have some sort of theme and fancy dress but that was 10kgs and 5 years ago & I'm not sure that I could pull it off anymore!

What fancy dress theme are you thinking of?

I will probably look for something that's mostly white for mine - evoke a hint of the bridal.

I would totally do fancy dress, I love it, but I don't think it fits with plans for a classy night out with the Mums!

I'm off to Portugal 2 weeks today for the weekend for my hen do. I told my MOH that I wanted to pick where and when and leave the rest up to her.

I've been told I need a black pair of shorts and black vest top for the Friday night and the same in white for the Saturday night, then something nice to wear on the Sunday! That's all the info I have been told.

Ahh getting a tad excited now!

I want "Heroes and Villains", which is fairly broad so should be something to suit everyone!

A friend of mine had a similar theme with "Storybook" characters - I was the only one who went as something bad (a wicked witch) which probably says more about me than I care to think about! ?

I have no idea what mine will consist of yet, but I went to a hen do where we all had to wear white dresses.

As long as I won't be wearing a pink feather boa, L plates and carrying a blow-up knob around, i will be happy hahahaha!

I've just bought my dress today. My hen party is tomorrow!

I don't drink, and hate all the 'traditional' hen party stuff, so my MOH has arranged a spa day and then a meal followed by dancing (its my dance school social!)

So: swimming costume then sundress is my outfit of choice!

And pretty shoes, I'm all about the shoes!

I'm a bore, and said I didn't want to do fancy dress.

I have bought this dress from Zara, but in hot pink (my hen do is in July so i am ever hopeful for a sunny aftrnoon/evening - I have no idea what we're doing either):

Friday night - a nice dress for cocktail making

saturday day - a sophisticated dress for afternoon tea

saturday night - a very slutty 'wedding dress'

    sunday - grease fancy dress

Enjoy yours! And take lots of pics - it will go too fast!

Same here - although also no deely boppers, veils or anything else like that. I'm not having a big hen do, just a meal and then on for a few drinks. I just bought my dress today because my hen night is next Friday. Looking at everyone else's though I've realised how non-bridal and probably non-hen it is.

My dress Mind you I am of course a lot shorter and chunkier than this model, so the dress is a fair bit longer on me and clings to the curves a bit more. Actually, I think it looks better with curves!

I have no idea. Bridesmaids won't tell me ANYTHING about it except the date. (which I already know cos it was me that coordinated that part of it) Due to pregnancy, baby, feeding and then weight loss I have very few clothes that fit me so really need a heads up about what to buy.

Jeans, black vest top, grey cardi.

nothing special but then we had a shag do (joint hen/stag) at a dirty rock club, and after 10mins i was poisoned by a drink which set off my allergies so we had to leave!

shop around- you'll find something perfect eventually Smiley smile
