What can I do? Feet slipping in shoes.

Ali_G, 6 of August of 2013 at 11:14 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 7

I bought some new shoes yesterday and am totes in love with them. Wore them to work today and have found that when my feet get hot, they slip forward (they're open toe shoes) and out the front which, as you can imagine, is not particularly comfortable.

Anyone got an ideas as to how to stop this happening? The shoes are kinda plastic-y IYKWIM, which is why my feet are slipping. Should I get some fabric insoles? Will that stop my feet slipping? Does talcum powder work?

I think fabric insoles would probably work. AS for the the talcum powder - you might end up in a Ross from friends esque mess!

My mum used to put talc in her tights. I'll never forget, she farted once and a little mushroom cloud of talc emitted from her bum.

Not sure if it's of any help but I sometimes use party feet - the good ones from Scholl - they help my feet from slipping.

    Skeppers - your poor mum!

Primarni do these amazing little toe socks that stop the peep toe bit from rubbing and grip the bottom.

I have this problem whenever I wear heels, no idea why. You can get some adhesive gel heel grips from schol(sp) or pretty feet in boots and chemists. They do the job nicely and stay put really well. I found traditional heel grips just kept slipping out.
