What do you do with empty Body Shop containers?

You can take the empty bottles back to a shop but as you dont live near one thats not an option! cant you just put them in normal recycled household rubbish?

Years ago I think you could take them back to store but don't know if this really was the case or an urban myth type thing.

These days take plastic bottles to the supermarket recycling facilities, is that an option for you?

Thanks guys. Yes I can put it in the usual plastic recyling but it seems a shame if they the BS could use them in their current form? If that makes sense!?
