I'm cooking a Gordon Ramsey lamb dish for Sunday dinner tonight.(This one - its the first on the list, new season lamb with crushed peas http://www.ivillage.co.uk/food/tools/recipefinder/display_recipe/0,,6722,00.html ). The recipe asks for '4 lamb rumps, 140g each (trimmed)'. I went to the butchers yesterday to get the lamb but forgot to write down exactly what I needed, soooo I've ended up with 2 lamb rumps, each weighing 300g with quite a lot of fat on the meat.
My plan was to simply cut the lamb rumps in half, but does 'trimmed' mean without fat?
