We're having a civil ceremony too

Basically when you go and see the registrar they send you out a big pack with all the info in - you have to say some basic stuff but other than that its up to.

However you cannot have anything remotely religious connected with it so you have to be careful with readings etc

    HTH

    When are you getting married?

    xx

Oooo I had never thought of that! We are having one as well and I have been too preoccupied with all the pretty fluffy stuff I had forgotten the deep down serious stuff! I guess our registra will send us out our stuff.....oooo so exciting!!

Yea i know lol, only reason we have started thinking now is the expense. nobody will be paying anything towards this but us so we need to start thinking budget and what we want etc. Will be a while before we start booking things. The last time i did all this me and ex were having a full catholic ceremony and we were helped financially but thats not going to be the case this time, there was more to plan last time but i had been to catholic weddings in the past so knew what to expect. this time its all a bit up in the air. but at least this time round h2b wants to help plan it all lol. thats not long at all is it Stupidgirl45 ?!!!! Have you got much more to do?

Well only got engaged in July. Have sorted venue, catering drinks etc, registrar and dress. And save the date magnets arriving this week

Hoping to get photographer sorted in the next couple of weeks. TBH I want to get florists, DJ, invites and chair covers all sorted before Xmas.

Then get Bm dresses in the Jan sales (not having proper BM dresses) and plan smaller things like favours, little table decs (jewels etc) finalise readings, book honeymoon and order rings.

That seems okay to me - what do you think?

    hi there

Im thinking prom style for mine as the youngest is 15 and oldest will be 26 so dont think they would want to wear full blown dresses, im thinking even something from Coast or Debenhams x

I was thinking debenhams or monsson possibly i know what style she likes and were pretty similar in taste.I just know she wouldnt be comfy in full BM mode lol
