Wow, some helpful replies so far lol! What you really need to consider is how much you want to spend first, because a really special day can be under £500 if that's what you want. So, start there. The most basic of weddings could be a simple ceremony at the registry office with just witnesses and a meal with close family and friends after. Everything else is an extra. Sit down with your partner and talk about what is important for you and what you can afford. I am planning a budget wedding myself and am happy to give advice. Good luck!

As above, the budget is very much personal to each couple. You both need to sit down and work out exactly how much you can spend/save for the wedding. Look at any savings you already have and what you can save in the lead up to your ideal date.

You then need to decide what is a must have, what is an ideal and what things you can cut to save money. If you have got lots of things you want to have and your budget doesn't quite cover it, perhaps consider pushing your date to give you extra time to save.

Weddings can be anything from a few hundred pounds up to £25,000+. You just need to work out what you can afford!

Depends on number if guests and what you want included in your wedding. It can be very cheap just the 2 of you at the registry office with 2 witnesses and a meal afterwards. That could be around £100 to £200. If you have say 100 guests at a manor house or castle with 3 course meal, open bar, expensive wedding dress, bridesmaids dresses, hair, MUA, fancy cake and flowers, photographer, videographer etc. it could cost tens of thousands.
