Yep, the recipes always led me to hard ones. 150 / 160 for 15 minutes max I found to be good. Just enough for a bit of colour

Argh, this thread is making me want flapjack. i have already walked past the deli which makes *the* best flapjacks in the world twice today and resisted, i must not go back and buy one now.

buttery, chewy flapjacks are just the best <drool>

I have a recipe somewhere for chewy flapjacks that i could dig out for you this evening.

all i do is add mushed up banana to the recipe, turns out nice with very little flavouring.

My flapjacks are always chewy. I might have to make some now, damn you!

I don't leave them in the oven too long. Lots of golden syrup and butter. They're really healthy ?

I actually think I make the best flapjack in the world, apart from my ma. So there ?

go and make some now, B, and you can send me one. i shall do a taste test.

i went into labour with cub while MrF was making mince pies, and someone (Flaf? or GWTW?) has a 'labour cheesecake' which started things off for them. baking: it's the new pineapple ?

Oooh - flapjacks! My grandmother used to make them, but I don't have her recipe. I don't think my mum does either as I don't remember her making them [:'(]

Can someone post their favourite recipe please? I would ask for a foolproof one, but then I'd need to find a fool to test it ?

FiS, that's a great idea. if only I wasn't such a lazy old moo I'd do it. but I can't be bothered. I've only got myself to blame when I go overdue ?

I'll see if I can find my recipe, it's so easy I should really remember it but my mind is like a sieve these days ?

    ?

Actually I think you might be right - just the plan to get up and make blackcurrent muffins sent me into labour!

About flapjacks - think maybe you're leaving them in too long - and they need lots of syrup and butter ? yum!
