What name do you sign the register with?

Do you sign with your new married name (if you're taking his name) or your maiden name?

It's your maiden name, but there are all sorts of myths about it.

The registrar told me to use my maiden name though and then announced us as Mr and Mrs.... I haven't had any probelms changing my name on offical stuff with my certficate.

Maiden name, although I had to ask the registrar at the time!

My married cousin was my MoH and witness and when she saw my name on there she started to sign in her maiden name / our family name as well! Luckily she realised what she was doing in time and managed to correct it!
