What phases did you go through?

Not many more floating round on the internet, thank goodness. I am thankful to have been a teenager in an age without the digital camera.

Kharv that could have been me, both pics!

First stage was chav ( but it wasn't then - it was fashion!) then I moved on to indie kid a bit of goth, the occasional black outfit and studs. Indie kid basically from 16-23 Brown cord flares, Dunlop trainers and Adidas three stripe zip tops. I drank pints, went to gigs and had a boyfriend with long-ish hair. Best.Years.Of.My.Life!!

On holiday I too wore stretchy denim ( also had tops and a dress!) and went bra-less!!! Our look of choice was stretchy denim skirt, flip flops and a triangle top thingy- classy!

I remember Sweater Shop jumpers but I was never cool enough to have one. I used to wear my dad's Fruit Of The Loom one as it was baggy and therefore cool.

I forgot that I used to wear feather boas at ridiculous times. I was going out to a club night at our student union in this pic, I wish I could say that I was going for fancy dress or something but no, just a normal Wednesday night. Still trying my hand at a less than half arsed gothic look!

Ha! Yes feather boas! We used to Sdd them to any going out outfit (read as short dress from new look) if it was a really special occasion we would also don cowboy hats. I list my fave white one on the railway tracks when I was 17 and rather pissed.

Did those of you in the 'chav' stage wear those orangey Caterpillar boots? I wore mine with mens jeans, checked shirt and a sweater shop jumper. Or for 'good' a teddy smith jumper I'd stolen from my uncle. I thought I was IT! I can't flash a pic, do you know the type I mean?! My first pair were cheap unbranded from shoezone - then my aunt bought me a pair of genuine Cats in the USA. Sooo happy to have the real deal, I used to lovingly clean and brush the suede!

Ah I remember those Caterpillar boots! I didn't own any but a few of my friends did! Speaking of shoes, does anyone remember Palladiums? I had about three pairs of imitations. They used to kill my feet but I thought they looked awesome! I used to have a pair similar to the pic below only in black and the laces were a lot flatter!

I had various shoes like this. Including me pair that were literally like straw inside and were very uncomfy

I've loved reading through this ?

I'm a complete closet goth, so i'm not sure if it counts as a phase- it was just easier to "get away with" when when I was younger. I got a bit bored of people not taking me seriously as I got older so dropped it.

    I was 15 here

18 here & well into Myspace....

No phases for me, I was far too uncool to have a phase. Although I did spent quite a bit of my time (12-14) in t-shirts and avoiding pink, refusing to accept I was a girl, at 14 I uddenly went "pink? Uh ok then, Oooh girly, I love girly!"

The same for me, although I think I didn't really accept pink until I went to university.

I did have shell suit for a while though, I was only about 10 at the time. Until my nan decided it needed ironing!

I went through an "angsty alternative" phase, which I actually really miss (the look, not the angst!) and wish I had the balls to still do.

This is me aged 17 -

The fashion crimes of the past! I never got fashion - in my mid teens I wore lumberjack shirts a lot. Then at sixth form got indie (cords, converse, beaded necklace etc). I stopped having a look after that as I still didn't get it. I did spend £6 on a decrepit fake fur in a charity shop at 17, I thought I was wearing it ironically: in fact it was wearing me sarcastically.

I was such a tomboy. I don't think I embraced skirts/dresses until after uni. I was always the one in smart jeans/trousers and a nice top. My favourite outift for a long time was a pair of wide leg pinstripe trousers (the pinstripes were purple) with a matching corset. I must admit, that I do love a dress and my wardrobe is full of them, but I still feel more comfortable in trousers.

Jojo, I have this theory that if you only have 'nice' clothes, then that's all you can wear. I did this ages go with my underwear - I threw out anything that wasn't nice or sexy etc, so that way my underwear was always special to make me feel good. It's the same with clothes too I guess - if you only had cocktail dresses,th tats what you'd wear all the time!

this is all theory. I am currently still wearing my massive post-baby pants, leggings and a maternity top, even though I am not really showing much (it's just comfy!)

This for me too. I don't know if it's because I cant be @rsed or what really. I mean, I always say that I will make more of an effort for work but when I do I wonder 'what's the point'.
