What size mirror plates

victoriamarie, 13 February, 2011 at 11:12 Posted on Planning 0 4

What size mirror plates do you think I'd need for 40cm square footed lily vases (with a simple rose display)? Looking at 20cm but having trouble picturing it in my head.

When you say 40cm lily vase, do you mean the height of the vase is 40cm or the girth of the bottom of the foot?

I too have been looking at mirror sizes & I think larger is better. Esp if your table seats 8-10, it will be very large and a 20cm mirror in the middle will look tiny. If you have more mirror showing, you can add sparkles, votice candles etc on there for extra impact.

Have a look under google images, 'lilly vases mirrors' for more ideas.

Our standard lily vases are 50 cm and we use 25cm mirror plate - but as per the last post abit bigger is always better or you could get some masking tape out on a coffee table or work surface and mark out 20cm 25cm and 30cm then pop your vase in and see which one you like the best!

I'd suggest at least a 25cm plate, preferably a 30cm plate depending on how much room you need on the table. 20cm won't give you much mirror visible around the base or the lily vase.
