Hi. They wouldn't let us have Heaven on the basis that it's got the word 'Heaven' in it and our registrars class this as religious (stupid stupid stupid!). Said to them what about bat out of hell and they said this would be refused too ! I did try but they were having none of it

Sadly, ours isn't set in stone yet what music we'll be having in the church - we won't know until October time this year, when we have a meeting with the organist. But apparently he's a dab hand at doing covers on the organ/piano, so we're not too restricted to hymnal/church songs.

This is what I would like;

I have no idea what to do for a Mother/Son dance (thinking about My Girl, In My Life, or How Sweet It Is) or for the entrance of the wedding party to the reception. American weddings usually have a DJ that announces each person in wedding party as they enter the reception with music playing. So we will need one for the Groomsmen, one for the bridesmaids, one for us, and maybe more for the parents. My cousin got married in October and did a different song for every pair that walked in, but that seems like a lot of work

We've got a string quartet for the ceremony, which I think will be nice and traditional and we're going to ask the band that we've hired if they can do a version of Your Song for the first dance, will have to see if I like it first though!

Don't even know where or when we're getting married yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll be walking down the aisle to 'Glasgow Love Theme' from Love Actually.

Our first dance would have been 'Amazed' by Lonestar until a few weekends back, but those who saw Eurovision may remember the Italian operatic trio at the end? My OH has Italian family and likes that sort of music, I enjoy Eurovision and the song is all about love, so we might throw in a curve ball and sway around to that.
