What tartan you using? best places to hire?

I'm really lucky, my h2b tartan is really nice but unusual so am finding it hard to get it hired for father in law 2 be.

my family obviously want to wear our tartan and that doesnt bother me, im not worried about everyone matching and am actually quite looking forward to seeing everyone in their own kilts.

do any of you know any places in and around glasgow that have a large selection of tartans to choose from to hire? would just make it easier if we could get all the kilts in the one place!

Hiya,

Trying typing it into the internet. I know all my dads side will be wearing there kilts, but they have bought them already for occasions like weddings. As they 1st wore them at my cousins 10 years ago.

Best thing to do is call a few places. We are using Dalgleish kilts and h2b is having Ramsay Blue and they are a main stockist for it and some places didn't have it.

We're hiring our kilts from our venue, we've been for a look and picked the tartan that we liked, its quite similar to yours Miss Scatterbrain. Its Auld Lang Syne modern. The day we looked at them they didn't have loads of choice but I think they have a lot more available.

My dad got married two years ago and they hired their kilts from a place in St Enoch Square. Think it was called Douglas Alexander. My dad thought they were great!

Oh i was at the restaurant at the piping centre at the weekend, the food was fab!

thanks everyone for your suggestions, i'll carry on my hunt, there must be somewhere that hires it!

Its the Moffat tartan debby. we only need to hire one kilt in this tartan for fil2b. H2b is going to buy his and the bestman is going to hire his own tartan. most of my family have they're own kilts so its not too bad really!
