What time of year do you stop mowing the grass?

Pittabre, 31 October, 2012 at 11:36 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

I haven't done mine for a while but my house is up for sale so feel I should perhaps do it once more when it is not too wet to make sure it is fully tidy for viewers - not that I've had any!

End of September normally, and my nan said it's bad luck to mow it before Easter - so I never do.

My husband is a landscape gardener and stopped about 3 weeks ago. It varies from year to year depending on the weather

When it stops growing. So it depends where in the country you are.

Did mine last weekend, but once had to do it on Christmas Eve. ?

Well, I've never started so I guess I'll never stop ?

The garden is well and truly H's domain, and when I lived on my own my mum would take pity on me and come over and do it ?
