What to do the night before the wedding?

Natalie, 7 May, 2025 at 19:55 Posted on Planning 0 4

Hello!

Getting married in a little over a year. The venue does not have any accommodation apart from a honeymoon suite the night of the wedding. However we can use their bridal suite from 8:15 to get ready.

My dilemma is this… I live just over an hour away from the venue so it will be a lot easier for us to be closer on the day. I was thinking of renting a house/air bnb close to the venue, but I can’t find anywhere big enough that is within 30 minutes. They mostly all just have 3 bedrooms and sleep 6 but I have 8 people in my bridal party. The other option is to just find a hotel nearby.. there are a few but they are all over 20 minutes away still.

I was wondering if anyone has experience of getting married and staying in a hotel the night before. Due to the size of my wedding party we would need to start getting ready at like 6:30/7am but my venue doesn’t let us use the room until 8:15. Would we be better not using the venue at all and just getting ready at the hotel? If so, I feel like I would then need to hire wedding cars because I can’t exactly get a taxi can I in my dress wjth everyone? And because I’m staying at the venue the night of the wedding, I would have to bring my bag and all of my belongings with me in the car.

I was thinking of maybe just doing hair and make up at the hotel and then all getting a taxi together to the venue to finish off getting dressed but this might be too much faffing around and having to transport my dress in the taxi. I just don’t know how to work it, can anyone help?

I think the best option is the last one you mentioned. Do the final touch up and dress on at the venue, something I have seen done many times. The journey for your dress is much better than it would be with you sitting one it in the car.

Have your photographer meet you at the venue where you are then putting the dress on - no big need for the putting on the make up on shots as the "money shots" are the ones putting on your dress. Should be cheaper for your photographer as they only need to go to the 1 venue and not dash across town for 2

The night before the wedding, my friends and I threw a proper bachelor party at an online casino. First we read https://katanaspin.pro/bonuses-and-promotions/ of course. So... There were seven of us, and we decided to try our luck. I started with roulette, placing £30 on number 17 — the wedding date. To my surprise, I won £180. Then we moved on to poker, where one of the guys deposited £300 and got a £150 bonus thanks to a high roller promo. Later, we joined a tournament with a £10,000 prize pool, and even though we didn’t win big, the thrill and laughter made it an unforgettable farewell to single life.

From my experience, casino spin lander is worth a try if you're into slots and decent promos. The game graphics are solid, and I’ve never had problems with withdrawals—money lands in my account within a couple of days. I’m not saying you’ll win every time (I sure don’t), but at least it feels fair and legit. For me, it’s mostly about the entertainment anyway.
