what to wear with dress for NYE wedding - help please

brownie, 24 December, 2008 at 19:18 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 4

I'm going to a wedding on New Years Eve and m planning to wear this dress: https://www.coastfashion.com/womens/dresses#

Can't really wear a necklace with this style but am thinking of wearing a large diamante bracelet. I don't wear earrings. I'm worried it'll look plain. What would you do for bag and shoes? Hat?

Maybe I should just give up and get something else.......

Any suggestions welcome.

I like the bag and shoes that the website suggests but I'd perhaps go for a different colour....something rich and bright. I'll have a look.......

What about a fascinator or a really sparkly hairclip if you can't wear earrings? I think, personally, I'd go for sparkle (the first shoes EY picked out are fabulous) rather than adding another colour into the mix. You can't go wrong with loads of diamante with a fabulous black dress like that.

If you wear a bracelet, especially a diamonte one, please be careful that it doesn't catch on the dress as it is very delicate. I did that once before.

Thanks for your suggestions. I think I'll go for lots of sparkle as you suggested and ta for idea about fascinator/sparkly clip - I hadn't thought of that!
