What's your goal weight and why? Mini goals?

Rache, 20 May, 2008 at 08:33 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 14

I have a big spreadsheet all based around my goal weight. Every time I lose a bit I get closer, so I have lots of mini goals (1/10 of the way there, half a stone off, under x stone, 10% of body weight, now under BMI 30 etc etc) and I shall be treating myself with a non food treat every time I get to one.

My goal is 9 stone 10 lbs. I know it's doable because it was the weight I was when I got married 4.5 years ago - that's a BMI 23 ish for me and I look good on it - size 10 bottom and size 8-10 top. I could undoubtedly go lower but I'll see how I feel when I get to 9.10.

I've got a "this is it" feeling this time; the same feeling I had when I lost the weight last time. It's exciting!

My goal is to get to 10 stone by 9th June as I'm going to the Dominican for 2 weeks all inclusive. I'm only 5lbs away and do SW. That's why I was thinking of doing the Reveal Diet (see my earlier post about losing 5lbs in 5 days). I'll be at target then. I know I'll put on about 10lbs whilst away as that's what happened last time but then I have a goal of going away again later in the year so want to be at 10 stone or thereabouts. Its so hard to lose the last 5lbs. I've lost 3 stone 5lbs in total. Its taken years with all the holidays in between. I try for half a stone at a time.

11 st 6 is the top of the healthy weight for my height so i am making that my first big goal - i am pretty sure i will want to go a bit lower than that - but that seems far enough to aim at the minute

in the meantime i just want to get to under 13st asap - being 12 something will make me feel a lot better and should see me back in some of my summer clothes - also i think 12 10 is my 10% and that will be a good achievement

i definitely need little goals as the task in its completeness is daunting - but i am also feeling super motivated - like rache the same as when i did it before

I'm 10st2 at the moment and for the whole of 2008 and probably since October last year, I haven't been under 10st which is really bad for me. My "normal" weight was always 9st10 so my first goal is get under 10st. Then I'll aim for 9st10 but my goal weight is 9st4. I was at that weight two summers ago but emotionally I was having a bad time in my relationship so to be honest it might have been that and not my eating that got to that weight. I'm guessing 9st7 would be a more realistic target.

We're off to Rome on holiday in August so it would be nice to be at my target by then and it's H's 40th birthday in September and we'll be having a really big bash so I want to look at my absolute best for that. Plenty to look forward to then!

My main goal when I first began WW was a pair of size 14 jeans this soon changed to a pair size 12 jeans which I acheived a year ago. When I first began I didn't think about the total amount of weight I had to lose but did it half a stone at a time. At the moment I'm heavier than I would like to be. My top limit that I feel ok at is 10st 5 and I'm 5lbs over that. I want to lose as much as can before we go away in 3 weeks as I know I will put weight on whilst we're away. Ideally I guess I would prefer to be just 10st ( 9st something sounds really good) but everytime I get there it coincides with holidays. In the long run as long as I never go over 10st 12 (3 stone loss) I will be happy. I consider myself a work in progress?.

My inital goal was to get into a healthy BMI, which at my height was 11st 1. When I got near it, I decided that I wanted it to be just under 11. So my goal weight at weight watchers is 10 13.5!! Which I hit in about Jan/Feb time. I've hovered around there ever since. I lost 25.5lbs to get there and ideally I still like to lose another stone, which will put me at a BMI of 22, so bang in the middle.

I started WW almost a year ago, so it seems fitting to start over again to lose the last stone! When I get to my goal I dont' know what I'll do. I'd always had targets before (and never reached them), so this time I've not set any. Although H did say he'd take me on a Cruise if I ever weighed 9stone something so maybe I'll hold him to that? (If I ever get there, that is!)

My initial goal is 10 stone, but actually I'd like to get down to 60kg which is 9.7 I think.

LOML gave me a fabulouys spa voucher for Christmas and I said I'd use it when I got to 10stone - well, half the year is nearly gone and I'm not there yet. Gah. ?

When I started in Feb I wanted to lose 3.5 stone to get to wedding weight of 4.5 years ago and 4.5 to get to lowest adult weight (size 10)

I need 2lbs this week to get my third half stone.

My weekly goal is 1 - 2lbs a week and I've only failed that once so far when I stayed the same.

When I first joined WW in June 2006 I wanted to get to 12 stone. I weighed 14 stone 8lbs, but the 12 stone target was set by my Consultant that I am under at hospital. I have been going to Weightwatchers since June 2006 and have so far managed to loose 39.5lbs which is 10.5lbs away from my 50lbs, although I did manage to achieve my 50lb weight loss, but I fell pregnant in December last year and put some weight on, but sadly I miscarried the pregnancy in February this year and I am still struggling to get my weight back down to 11 stone. I have gone from a size 22 bottom to a 14/16 depending on where I shop and a size 20 top down to a 14/16 again depending on where I shop. Ideally I would like to get down to 10 stone 8lbs which will be a weight loss of 4 stone.

I also have a spreadsheet with progress and mini goals.

I'd like to get to 8st 7lbs in an ideal world, but not sure how realistic that is as I haven't been that weight since I was probably about 21! I chose that as my goal as it puts me into a healthy BMI range with a few lbs leeway.

I started at 11st 9lb and am currently 10st 9lb. Mini goals include 10%, each half stone and stone, getting to "10 something" then "9 something" etc. I'd really love to get to at least 9st 7lbs by early August as I'm bm at my sisters wedding and the other girls are all skinny ?

Mine's 9st2 which is the weight I was when I got married 4 years ago. I'd put on a couple of pounds then from when I was at my target weight, which I think was 8st11 or 12. I don't feel comfortable much bigger than that. I started off in December at 10st7.

I'm 11st 4lbs now, I've lost just over a stone. My first goal is 11st, 2nd goal is 10.5. Long term goal is that I want to be below 10st, around 9.5 ish which is the weight I was when I got together with Mr Luna. But to be honest, I'll be delighted with under 10st as it will be a real acheivement and within range for healthy BMI.

It seems a long way off, but I know slow loss is sensible. I've averaged 2lbs a week since I started which is sustainable and likely to stay off in the long run.

    1 down, 2 to go!

I actually just decided on my goal weight this week. I've decided on 10 stones 3lbs. I originally thought I'd aim for around the 10 stone mark and, once there, have 10.5 stones as my warning weight (so if I got there it was time to tighten up on the food again) but have no decided that 10 stones 3lbs is the weight to be! That will be exactly 6 stones lost and with the 3lb either way SW allow you, that means I can stay between 10 stones and 10 stones 6lbs, which is ideal for me.

My mini goals have been each half stone award. Two more to go to target! Only have 12.5lbs til I'm there, and 7 weeks to my hen do. Gotta do it!
