When do you get your marriage cerificate????

I think you get it on the day, they write it out for you there and then after you've signed the marriage register.

However, my experience of this is only from civil ceremonies, seeing the bride get handed the papers. I'm not sure if it's different at a church!

We got ours on the day, although we didn't know it (best man sorted it).

The registrar presented it to us on the day and put it in an envelope with Marriage Certificate on the outside (and a feed back form.....) I passed it to mum to look after as she was on the front row.

I'm in scotland and our was posted out to us 3 days after the wedding ?

We got ours on the day but it is no use to us as the Best Man looked after it and it is now en route to Sydney, Australia via Turkey!!!! make sure you put it somewhere safe straight away ?

We also got married in a URC and on the day I had to nominate somebody to hold on to it. I chose my Aunt as she was not busy with other 'jobs' and then she gave it to me the next day, at the family BBQ we had.
