When does the registrar contact you to make final arrangements for the ceremony?

Hi Fellow Brides

We are getting married in six weeks time in Southwark. Does anyone know how many weeks before the wedding registrars contact you to meet and agree the readings/music?

Cheers

Each registrar office is different. I would suggest you call them yourselves.

For ours, you don't get contacted before. You just fill in a form and then that's the last you hear from them until the day!

We have a ceremony appointment in November to go through our form (where we put down our details, music, vows, readings, witnesses, etc). We then get called 1/2 weeks before the actual day to go through any changes and finalise everything.

This close to the wire, I'd give them a call to arrange something. Have you filled in any details before now?

Southwark don't ask you to fill in a form.

I called them and they said they are doing the October rota. They say if I haven't heard anything by 25 Sept then call them.

    Thanks for your help
