when is too late to hoover?

I don't think it would have been too late - 10pm would probably be my cut off time. Mind you, I was up really early on Sunday morning and had the hoover out by 6.30...once I'd finished it did cross my mind that our student neighbours might not have been thrilled by it! It's the only time I had to do it though as I was busy all weekend and work all week and there are a lot worse noises than a hoover. I did think about it more when we lived in a flat but don't think sound travels as much now we're in a house.
