when writing invitations and you don't know the person's partners name....

boogiebelle, 28 May, 2009 at 15:21 Posted on Planning 0 8

Do you put their name and then put and guest/partner/+1?

Some of them don't have partners but we are saying they can bring someone...

Don't know what to do.

TIA

We just put "and guest" on ours, I don't think anyone took major offence ...

I have put '+ guest' on all of them, even though I knew some of their names.

I found out their partners names.....and put them on the invite. As i'll need these for the place names anyway..... I thought it was polite to put their partners names on so we were specifying who we were inviting, not just some random guest.

The only people where we wrote `and guest` were for people who we had said could bring plus ones (ie not boyf/girlf/OH) and also for the evening guests where it's not so important (no place names)

Not sure if that's helpful or not......

I agree with sg45 - this is what we will be doing. Have most names for day guests for the std cards and as invites won't officially go out till september i should have most sorted by then. Only one or two will have +guest eg, my sis who recently broke with her fella but am giving her chance to bring someone if she wants

    Thanks for your replies.

It's only for the evening ones that I am putting to guest - and some have managed to find out partners names via good old facebook. The others ones are for OH's work colleagues and a couple of mine - although now I have written all the invitations for work people, I'm having second thoughts inviting them. Not good!

The first thing I do before using academic platforms is to check actual student feedback. The question Is MyAssignmentHelp Legit is common because students want clarity before trusting any service. Authentic reviews provide insight into the operational procedure of the system while showing the expected results and determining the platforms trustworthiness. Students make their ultimate choice easier through authentic experiences which provide better guidance than any other method.
