I ended up getting veil, shoes, tiara and bracelet from bridal store....veil and shoes were crazily cheap I sale and got good discount in the other bits too. Earrings and necklace were from debenhams. Their bridal range is gorgeous and the prices are brilliant.

All mine are vintage - well, I don't have a hair accessory yet, but my jewellery, boots, coat and bag are. I appreciate that's not very helpful as it isn't what most people want, but I love carrying items with history through into my own life and adding to their stories.

I found bridal stores ridiculously priced, so I hunted around & got the following:

Veil- Pink Margaret online (recommended by many hitchers)

    Hair clip- Debenhams

Garter- Poundland (& forgot to wear it on the day!)

    Shoes- factory outlet

You might find a hoop on ebay cheaper than £60.

I'm currently lusting after a headpiece from an Irish Etsy seller https://www.etsy.com/shop/Tanyanibhroin. Pretty pricey though! No accessories purchased so far! My taste is way too expensive for my budget!!

Shop around and you will save yourself a fortune. Just check returns policy when you buy online and send things back if they don't work out.

    Hi sweets

I'm shopping around for accessories too.

I agree about the hoop. I may purchase one from this ebay shop

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wedding-Petticoat-Bridal-Hoop-Hoopless-Crinoline-Prom-Underskirt-Fancy-Skirt-/181093037370?pt=UK_Women_s_Skirts&var=&hash=item2a29fc753a

You can also sometimes hire them from bridal stores for half the price if you think that might be better.

Veil wise there is a lovely simple one in BHS for £30, you can always sew little pearls at the end or diamanté if you have time or know anyone artsy who can do it for you.

If you don't mind seconds try bride2bride.co.uk brides often sell veils that they haven't ever worn after purchasing and changing their minds etc and often you can bag a designer for half the price.

Hope this helps and good luck! xx

    Shoes - Rainbow Club

    Veil - Bridal shop

Hair accessories and jewellery - Nicky Hewitt (a HIB who I haven't seen around much lately!) She made mine and my BMs hair flowers and jewellery and I loves it all!

No idea about a hoop as I am not having one.
